• SuperHuman

Support exo to relief human muscoloskeletal fatigue in manufacturing.

The project in a nutshell

Manual labor is still strongly present in industrial contexts.

This commonly involves tasks requiring working in non-ergonomic conditions and manipulating heavy parts, leading to musculoskeletal disorders. In particular, the back is one of the most affected regions.

SUPERHUMAN project aims to industrialize, test, validate, and assess an underactuated hip-low back exoskeleton for labor applications, assisting the workers.

Use-Cases

The use cases are conducted in 2 European companies, Bonfiglioli in Italy and MCH Sonae in Portugal. The 2 companies well represent the industrial sectors in which the use of an exoskeleton can lead to great benefits for the health of workers: the internal logistics in the case of Bonfiglioli and the large-scale retail in the case of Sonae.
